Another member here may be able to help you with that date. 11872 may have shipped in 1898, which would make it an antique. Or it may have shipped in 1899, in which case it would be considered in the Curio & Relic class.
Collectors would call this gun a .32 Hand Ejector, first model, or just a Model of 1896.
